The chandelier that you can’t bump your head on when you walk under, hehe!
This one was a custom order for such a sweet lady. I’ve had this old Italian frame for so long and have finally used it!
Hope you have had a great week!

Recently I was asked to create a centrepiece for a wedding cake designer, for a vintage styled wedding she was making a beautiful cake for. Her bride’s invitation was so gorgeous, dripping with pearls and peony style flowers, in dusty pinks with mushroom-y browns.
I can’t imagine how amazing the wedding gown is going to be.
So this is what I came up with, and the cake designer loved it. Hopefully this will be the beginning of lots of wonderful OOAK collaborations for us to create for her brides.
Vintage and antique lace, vintage pearly beads and bits of silk fabric all twisted and stitched together.

I think they almost look like lace and pearl kebabs!
I often wonder what sort of wedding style I’d have if my wedding was now and not 13/14 years ago. But looking back, my gown was actually a lot like this, similar colours and style.
I guess I’ve always loved vintage style, even when it wasn’t fashionable to love it, and I’ll love it even when it’s no longer fashionable to love it any more!
I think it would make a gorgeous hairpiece and I’m going to work on a whole new range of other coordinating bridal pieces….the creative juices are flowing and now I just need some more hours in the day!!

Hello!
Hope a lovely Easter was had by all.
We had a birthday, Easter and school holidays the past few weeks, with some time down at the beach, after my last market.
For some time now, I’ve been working on a line of coordinating pieces for kids’ rooms or for the home and here’s the first of the pieces that work back with my prints.
My dad had a hand in hand cutting these for me ~ what I thought could be a fun, easy and quick project turned into sooooo many steps, lol! Most likely once these clocks are gone, I won’t be making ones like this! I’ll be redesigning them so that I can make more of them and use more of my paintings on them.
So for now, here are the tick tocks!
I’m working behind the scenes on my website right now, re-jigging the shopping cart and working on loading up all my goodies. Tons of new stuff coming!!!

I’ve been making LOTS of new stock!

Hope to see you there!!

My latest gown painting ~ this one was a custom order for someone whose guidelines were “something pretty with floral wallpaper background”.
It’s always a treat to create with freedom when doing custom orders. It’s also enjoyable painting within guidelines. A nice mix of both options is always best!
This one is my new favourite!
