Hello fellow bloggers! Today I have a special offer for you and please if you can, take it up!

Before you think I can scrapbook, let me explain here because I can't! Remember I mentioned a sweet customer back here who sent a lovely handmade album as a gift for my Leroy? Well in our back and forth emails, Amelia mentioned her church members were challenged to use their gifts to make some cash for a worthy cause (which I will talk about in a moment). So she made 15 albums in the shape of handbags. Anyway, sales were going along a little slowly so I offered to take them and sell them on her behalf. My goal is to have them all sell out REALLY FAST!

And they arrived in the post today and as you will see from the photos, there are only 9 available (update: LAST ONE LEFT now BAG 8!!!).... I have already bought a bunch as has my mother, and I have friends who want some but I am offering them to you here today first, as I know you creative people can appreciate the time, expense and effort involved in making these.

Now each bag costs AU$20 + postage. So around Australia total cost including postage is $24 and anywhere around the world via airmail it is AU$29 which is about US$23.

These bags cost Amelia AU$20 each to make. And I am selling them on her behalf for $20 + postage. Of that, $10 will be donated to the worthy cause (more in a moment). So this lady is paying for half the cost PLUS she has given her time and talent to make these, plus the cost of sending them to me. Seriously, she has used the most beautiful quality papers, flowers, brads and trims, embellishments etc. She didn't want to spend all this time making them to use rubbish quality stuff. It's not worth doing if you don't do it properly right?! They make a perfect Christmas gift!!! It's not that far away you know. And they are all ONE OF A KIND individual designs.

Think about it, you wouldn't think twice about donating $20 to a charity every so often would you? Sponsoring a child costs over $30 a month. This way you are actually getting something in your hand as well as helping out for your money. I see it as a win-win situation!!!

So now about the charity. The money raised will go to the Invisible Children of Uganda. You can read about it on their website here, it explains it better than I ever can. Amelia was so touched by their plight, as were the members of her church. So she has done something about it. What a wonderful lady!

A bit about Amelia

This dear lady is retired and worked for 28 years as the director of a Pre-School. She had only 2 weeks off in 28 years..... so you know she has passion for working with and helping people. Children are her greatest love. So now you can see why she was so passionate about helping out. She's a happily married mother of two, grandmother of five and looks after some of the little ones three days a week. She loves clothes, jewellery, teddies and shabby chic and scrapping is one of her talents!

Here are all 9 bags available. Numbered 1 - 9 from top row down, left to right. Each bag measures about 6" wide by 5" high. Each has Velcro closure, ribbon handles, pockets with tags that pull out, and there are 10 spaces among the pages to place photos. There are all sorts of different designs within, no two pages are alike.
