Warning: Beautiful Jewellery Ahead!

Wasn't the One World One Heart giveaway event amazing!?! There were so many wonderful giveaways and it was a great chance to visit some new blogs! I was fortunate enough to win - not one, not two, but THREE giveaways!!! The first of my goodies arrived yesterday in the mail from Jamie of Simply Me Art. Well.... I tell you, I was so excited and shocked and happy at the same time!! I thought I was getting an incredible bracelet and matching earrings.....
And those I sure did receive! Aren't the details so amazing? Such beautiful jewellery beads and bits. This sparkles beautifully!

What I didn't imagine in my wildest dreams was that Jamie would make me a matching necklace to wear with them!!!!
AND a really cool crown t-shirt (with sparkly rhinestones on it too!) as seen here below
(photo taken by our little budding photographer, 4 year old Leroy!)

I've worn it two days in a row - Greg likes it too but asked if he was going to need to cut it to get it off me (LOL to WASH of course! - don't worry it's already in the washing machine as we speak!)

And also included were some fabulously great tasting lollipops that Leroy has gone nuts over! Each day he is trying a new one. Today he said "Mummy, I really love these lollipops that the lady sent me. Can I have the butterfly one today?". So cute! Oh yeah, nearly forgot, there were some amazingly blingy decorated dark chocolates - (they didn't last an hour after the first photo was taken! - you know, Dark Chocolate is good and full of anti-oxidants, it is very healthy! So I tell myself!)

Jamie you're a hit with everyone in this family! Thank you so much, I can't get over the generosity I am seeing from wonderful people I have never met!

Go check out
Jamie's Etsy store, her jewellery creations are just perfect!!! Honestly, as soon as my trip is all saved up for, her store is one of the first places I am going shopping!!!! My eye is on the lovebirds necklace..... among other things!

Wow I was lucky enough to have been given the Sparkly award twice, by Alison Gibbs and Dolly! Thank you girls!!! I see that a lot of people have sparkled someone's day already so I am passing this one on to anyone reading my blog, because you are sparkling my day by giving me your precious time!

Well it's another late one - after 2am this time (I really do have to stop starting so late!). I'll have some more faux treat eye candy for you next time. Just not sure when, as Mr Greg is sick at home with not-quite-sure-what-but-doctor-gave-drugs-to-help... and Father-in-law has had a very close call in intensive care last week where we nearly lost him - now he is fighting fit and giving up smoking, wanting to ride a bike and travel the world (not on a bike though!). Hopefully next week can be less eventful in this house!

Have a great week everyone!!

It started out as a lazy Sunday at home...

Lazy Sunday morning at the Burns house.... hubby was home, scrambled eggs & baked beans on toast was in order at Leroy's cafe (see a few posts down)!
The breeze was blowing and just perfect to dry the tea towels & pillow slips

And a whole lot of very first ever passion fruit blooms were spotted! One very excited person here!

Cupcakes (of the faux kind) were drying/setting... orders waiting to be shipped out and some new designs for the shop.
Spring flavoured cookies waiting for painting and decorating...

A coffee table full of craft supplies to be put away

One of two journal covers completed

Bye bye birdies! Only one basket left - thanks everyone!

Little thank you gifts to add to each parcel going out tomorrow

Labels and ribbons ready to gift wrap

A personal touch with a hand written note

Loads of gift wrapping in pink of course

Finally parcels are packed and ready to go in the morning! So much for the lazy Sunday!

The kindness of strangers

Well she's not such a stranger but we have never met! Blogging has really shown me how incredibly kind people can be for no reason in particular other than they are kind and happy people!

You can imagine my surprise when I found a parcel and I hadn't ordered anything online.... to open up this amazing collage created just for me, as a special New Year gift from one of my customers, Amelia. Accompanying this beautiful creation was a sweet hand written letter (remember those?!) telling me the very amusing tale of how this came together.

Amelia has put together my favourite things, from my hubby & son, to perfume, clothes, shoes, lace, handbags, birds, flowers, crowns and cupcakes!!! She has me down to a T!!!

Gosh I love it. I was stunned when I opened it. And if that wasn't enough she created a layout page for a picture of my little man. This is so perfect and I am choosing just the right photo for it. Thanks so much Amelia, I am truly honoured that someone would do something so special for me! You really do spoil me way too much!!

Oh and I've been busily working on a shop update. Some new prints and bits and pieces are in there now, and tomorrow these little goodies will be making their way in.... plus something else I just love! Keep an eye out and check back at my boutique tomorrow!

For now, it is over and out from me, it's almost 2am again and I am barely keeping my eyes open!

What would you like for dinner?

Thought I'd share this little video clip with you. Yesterday, Mr. Leroy was home from kindergarten with a cold (in the middle of Summer!) and he grabbed my little notebook and started taking dinner orders from me. It's less than 2 mins long - if you have the time, click on the play triangle and have a giggle!

Sweet Little Cupcake (and a welcome!)

I've been creating cupcakes galore - the painted kind (and more of the faux kind soon too!).

These ones are special orders for some lovely ladies.
While I had the paints mixed I created some extras on small canvases which I have just added to my boutique now! I've had emails asking if I am still selling things - the answer is yes, and sorry, I've just been flat out catching up on special orders since my return from holidays/vacation a couple of weeks ago. Please bear with me!

These cupcakes are such fun - I use genuine Swarovski crystals on them, they sparkle like no other crystals - yeah I know they cost heaps more but it is so worth it for the way they twinkle!
My friend Vickie of Mademoiselle Rose has started a new blog! You can find it HERE. Please if you have a spare moment go visit her - trust me you will love it, she has two posts up already and both have great information... the Rachel Ashwell info got me particularly excited!!! And check out her amazing house and roses!

Vickie also runs a lovely website and sells lots of gorgeous goodies...

Please give her a warm blogging welcome!!!

Bye for now,

Valentine surprises, sparkles and We have a winner....

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day yesterday! Mine was not spent with hubby, lol, he has been working nights and late afternoons so morning is sleep time for him, then I get his dinner organised at lunch time and he is off to work. Instead in the afternoon I had a visit from the lovely Jenn & Jacqui of The Bowerbird's Nest. We had afternoon tea and I even baked Banana Cake (I'll share the easy recipe another time soon)

They spoiled me rotten with delicious Hershey's Kisses.... with almonds... oh boy I really need to control myself around these delicious chocolates....

And if that wasn't enough - they came bearing gifts - a farewell gift for my trip to the States later this year. LOL, already!!! They said they couldn't wait until later this year, how sweet. Perfectly wrapped in pink with tulle, roses and a little birdy, and hand made tags that Jacqui created (just gorgeous!). They gave me a magnetised altered framed picture of hubby and our boy, a cute name tag for me to hopefully wear to Silver Bella with 'Aussie Bella' on it, and a PINK leather passport and travel document holder!!!

Inside was a Starbucks card with some credit on it to have coffee with some of our friends in the US. Girls you are just too much, what fabulous and generous gifties!!! I love them to bits, thank you!!!

And last night finally I updated my shop with some sparkly goodness! Lots of keyrings, brooches and pendants - all blingy and gorgeous and girly. These are just some of the goodies you will find in my boutique here.

Now you're probably waiting to see who the winner is..... I used the random number generator to get this winning number....

And comment number 78 is
Sandra Evertson! Congratulations Sandra, I'll contact you shortly for details. Thank you to EVERYONE who entered the OWOH giveaway - not only mine but all of them. I was absolutely astounded at the amount of lovely people and lovely blogs I had never seen before. I personally was so overwhelmed - I really tried to visit everyone to say thank you or to enter everyone's giveaways but by yesterday I was struggling for time on the computer so if I didn't get to your blog to say thanks for entering please excuse me, I just ran out of time.

And a HUGE thank you to Lisa Oceandreamer, who has had to be the busiest girl in the world this past month, for organising such a brilliant event.

Oh and I'll take this opportunity to annouce a little competition in my boutique - all purchases made until the end of February will go into a draw on March 1st for a $30 voucher to be used in my boutique! If you purchase 3 items, you'll get three entries. The more items purchased the more chances you have. The voucher will be valid for one year and may only be used once (so in other words, the winner really should maximise that one use and make sure they get their $30 worth because, due to the cart setup, if less than $30 worth is used, the balance is not redeemable.)

I'm probably going to be off the radar a tiny bit the next week or two - I have so much catching up on custom orders to do - I will still be reading your blogs but mightn't comment as much - please excuse me!!!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

PS. Leroy says to say thank you for all the kisses sent back his way!!
