If you received chocolate in this box, don't you think you'd be more excited about the box than the contents?! I think the chocolate wouldn't even be able to measure up!
My gorgeous friend Heather managed to part with this box, and let me buy it from her after I begged her incessantly. In the end she just gave up :-)

Just look at the colour, the texture, the detail. My rear end thanks me that chocolate does not come in boxes like this today, or else I'd actually buy the stuff. I do love chocolate, but can live without it in my life. It's potato chips that I find hard to resist....

I've noticed I'm steering towards more muted colours lately - Looking at my flickr favourites last night, I found my earlier faves were bolder pinks and greens, and my latest faves are muted creams, textures, browns, faded pinks and blues... Maybe it's the seasons. I still love the pinks and greens and I'll probably come back to them more when the weather warms up again, with Spring coming next month!

In the meantime, I'm loving this chocolate box.

I think it's my new obsession. Imagine a wall of gorgeous chocolate boxes? How fabulous would that look! I have two.... might have to go on an online the hunt for more.....

Enjoy your day! Be sure to come back in a few days for our Revamp It day!!!

Gorgeous box sweetie!! Sooo lovely!!! I would by bunches of chocolate if they came in boxes like that!! Chocolate is my weakness. I try not too have it too much, but I crave it. I guess there are worse things to crave. Lol. I hope u and your sweet family are doing great!! Huge hugs!!! Britt :-)
ReplyDeleteYour new obsession sounds great to me!!! She did a gorgeous job on this beauty...You are fortunate to have the ability to talk her into releasing it..lol
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely divine! Just don't let the chocolate melt in it!
ReplyDeleteCathy ♥
Such a beautiful chocolate box.
ReplyDeleteAlison
That is a beautiful box. I love chocolate!

I love this! Heather might be sorry :-(
ReplyDeleteI think there is a whole tendency towards more neutral colors going on. Look at all very popular Scandinavian blogs and the magazine Jeanne d' Arc living that is even a hit in the States (maybe you could import it down under). On the other hand I think like you that some colors fit more to one season than other colors.
I'm waiting for my model to wake up...almost ready for your party. I'll try to post early due to time difference. You are how many hours ahead of us? I'm 6 to 9 hours ahead of the States.
Looking forward to see all revamped clothes, shoes, bags and whatever!
OH My Goodness that is amazing! SCORE! LOL! What a work of art! Things are just not made like they used to be are they!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you. It's been a while! I found you on twitter so I'll "follow" you and keep more in touch. We were thinking of a visit to Sydney next year :)
xo Molly
That is certainly the prettiest chocolate box I have ever seen. I'm glad Heather finally agreed to part with it, for your enjoyment, Natasha. p.s. my weakness is potato chips as well!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beauty alright!!
ReplyDeleteHugs ~ Kerryanne
Oh it is quite lovely Natasha! I see why you wanted it for your own. Now in terms of resisting chocolate, I could never!
ReplyDeleteKarla
That is one of *the* most gorgeous chocolate boxes ever!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I could not live without chocolate -- it is my weakness -- but my mom is like you, she prefers (aka loves) potato chips!
:)

hmmmm, the begging actually worked...because Heather has a lot of things i would SO love to have...i will have to hone my begging skills...LOL...that box is just STUNNING!!! oh, my!!! i am very impressed that Heather was able to part with it...you are one lucky girl to have such a sweet friend as Heather:)
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! But I don't think I would toss the chocolates !!!!
ReplyDelete~Sue~
Hey Sweet Lady, Well I have to say my weakness is chocolate, I eat a 250g (family block) of chocolate every night, and I mean every night if I don't get it I scream and sook like a child...lol, I am so loving your chocolate box, if they still sold chocolate in those boxes I'd be a very rich chocolate box girl, buying one for every night...ooooohhhhhh that would be wounderful, I take the chocolate out of the pack and have to put it on a very pretty plate...if I have one of those gorgeous boxes I'd put my every night chocolate in side it...lol, love, love, love it.

Kirstie.
Ps: Hubby and girls have a hard time resisting chips.
You are one lucky ducky to finagle that candy box fom your friend Heather. It is GOR-GEOUS!!! I'm drooling with envy. Yes, I admit it. Feel like selling it?? HAHA just kidding. I'm a sucker for them too. I never see any at the antique shoppes I visit where I live. It's so frustrating, so I'll have to live vicariously through your photos .. and Heather's.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one!! LindaSonia
What a beautiful box. And how nice it is in such lovely condition. No melted chocolate stains!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was first married, my husband liked chocolate more than I, so at Valentine's Day I went to our fav chocolate shop and bought a heart shaped box that looked like a tuxedo -- masculine, but lovely. The candy company let me bring it back each year and they would refill it with his favorites. I kept it, will try and find it and post pics.
~Marilee
Well, I do not need chocolate but if i had this box originally I would think that these chocolates must really be something!!! So I would have to try them.
ReplyDeleteNOw just if they could put ruffles sour cream, cheddar chips in a beautiful box!!!
make it a one serving box please!!! ehehhe
Ooh you naughty girl you, twisting poor sweet Heather's arm until it breaks lol. It is truly gorgeous, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your revamped designs-
Laura

ReplyDeleteLove your chocolate box... just gorgeous. Almost as yummy as chocolates!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Funny, I notice I have been feeling the same way about color lately, wonder why? Lori
I know what you mean about the faded colors, they have moved to the top of my list now too. But, I know that I'll be jonesing over some pretty pinks again soon. I go back and forth!
ReplyDelete(so did Heather put some chocolates in the box before she mailed it?)
If the chocolates where just as good as the box.....
ReplyDeleteOk, must go now, finishing up for the revamp!
yummy love the chocolate box..my grannie used to have a red box...great work in begging this delicious box from a friend..
ReplyDeleteOkay, i am ready for the big day tomorrow, I have just finished my goodies, and can't wait to see all the Gorgeousness, from all the talented ladies out there.
ReplyDeleteNatasha, could you give me a rough idea of how many wonderful things there will be to look at??? Just so i know how many days to leave the phone off the hook, heehee
PS...Does Friday mean at one minute past midnight tonight??? I might have to have a nap now, so i don't miss anything...
ReplyDeleteWow, that box is lovely. I don't know how your friend was able to part with it.
ReplyDeleteYou really got lucky.
Oh, I feel the same about chocolate and potato chips. I prefer the salty. But, I hear there's a trend going around where they put salt on chocolate.
That could be dangerous. LOL
Now that's the sort of box I would like to receive my choccies in!
ReplyDeleteVictoria xx
ahhhh.... I should have put some chocolates in there before I mailed it! I am glad you loved the box Natasha. I know it will always be treasured and in a good and loving home... hahah! xo
ReplyDeleteThat vintage box is so lovely! I Just LOVE that I can cruise around blogland and see that I am not the only one who loves old things like this, LOL! Things that people in my 3-D life turn their noses up at, LOL!
