- ...been working on a few things.... like my Revamp It project (see post here to join in)...

{Just a peek for now, it's not quite finished.... I'm hoping to finish a second piece before the 14th...}
- ...been working on a new painting for a lovely client....
- ...been catching up on my blog reading that I missed while my computer was down
- ...been cursing the computer because I think the new hard drive has errors too... so don't be surprised if I'm gone again any time soon. (ok, I won't curse myself! I'll stay positive!)
- ...started getting into Twilight (albeit slowly - I am way behind the reading trends, lol!). I've read Twilight and watched the film, now I'm into New Moon and getting sucked right into this one too (can't wait for the new film, I'm in loooove with Edward! Don't we all love a hot {or should I say cold} vampire?)
- ...finally started enjoying exercising again and going to the gym 4-6 times a week, hoping that this time, I'll budge that junk off of my trunk!
- ...been on a cooking frenzy, trying new recipes, making some delicious ones, and some disastrously awful ones like my prawn rice paper rolls today (I'll stick to buying those from the experts, that rice paper stuff has a mind of its own!)
- ...been trying to drink 2 litres of water a day, but MAN that's hard!!!
- ...been sorting through tons and tons of old laces and trims and forcing myself to be able to part with some (you'll see them come up on my website one day soon)
- ...been working on making a photobook of the little guy's first almost-6 years, going through baby photos, remembering, after I had forgotten, how LITTLE he once was
- ...been sorting through clothes and toys and all that fun stuff
- ...found my pregnancy diary that I kept, and blubbered like a baby when I read over it again
- ...watched Extreme Home Makeover and blubbered (again) like a baby every single time they cut to the family after shouting, "MOVE THAT BUS!"
- ...smiled each time I come to my front door because the violets are in bloom beside it
- ...taken the little guy to the zoo (and got a parking ticket, UGH!) and to the city, and the National Gallery of Victoria, where he fell in love with the fountains out the front, and the water wall, and some interesting sculptures
- ...been wondering where the days and months are disappearing to
- ...realised that Christmas is around the corner
- ...found one or two grey hairs on my head and freaked out!
- ...watched Project Runway Australia and enjoyed each minute of it, aaah the bitchin' and back stabbing has already begun.... oh I miss the ragtrade! (NOT!)
- ...been helping out in the classroom
- ...tried out my new watercolours and found they are not so scary after all (will share pics one day soon!)
- ...been pretty darn tired!
What have you been up to lately?
Natasha xo

Natasha, your gown painting is AMAZING...and that revamp it project looks SO pretty. can't wait to see it all. Good for you going to the gym so much... and trying new recipes. Sounds like you have been a busy bee.

Love your pretties you have been creating. The gown is absolutely stunning! I too have the hots for Edward. Got sucked into reading the books at the beginning of the year after seeing the movie with my daughter. Now we are planning on going to the midnight showing of New Moon together! Happy Reading!

ReplyDeleteNice to hear what you've been up to.... especially smiling at the violets and realising that Christmas is around the corner! :)
ReplyDeleteI found my first grey hair when I was 30 -- not a happy day -- but they will be few and far between for many years after that. That was over ten years ago, and I've just now started coloring my hair!
:)

You have been busy! That painting is so lovely...
ReplyDeleteI have been house hunting. We found one and now we are waiting to get the inspection reports, etc to finalize the deal.
I have also been busy in the studio, trying to get as many mosaics done before we move, so I don't have to move so many plates!

Hi Natasha: Thanks for visiting my blog. I have never had a famous person, like you ever visit. You are on water rations too, don't you just hate it? I am going to try to do the washing machine thing that you suggested. I don't want my plants to die. I love my garden. It took almost 8 years for it to begin to look like an English garden. Your blog is always so inspiring. Again, thank you for taking the time for me. Martha
ReplyDeleteI love that first sneek of the gown! You put the bar high baby! Of course I still have to start, but in my head I'm finished, so it's only doing it :-D
ReplyDeleteYour new painting is so nice. You have been busy, mmm perhaps I should try a week or so without my computer, no only kidding, I'm getting shaky by the thought of it. Compliments to you that you are going to the gym so much! And drinking water! I cannot see Extreme make over without crying either. I thought it was menopause ;-)! My grandmother died at 84 but still wasn't all grey, but I take no risks, I color it! I'm preparing the I thought of you swap by Stephenie, lots of fun!
Have a fruitful week again!

Oh my gosh Natasha, I loved reading what you've been up to...which is BUSY! And you're sneak peek of your revamp is divine already! I started work on mine and just caused myself to doubt which piece of vintage clothing I should work on!!! Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet it was neat looking through your pregnancy diary and your little guy's old photos. How precious.
Wow Natasha how do you fit that all in. You are one busy girl!! Look forward to seeing your revamp

Hi sweetie! Ahhh, I am so far behind in blogging everyone that I just don't know who to start with!! I have been thinking about you lately - don't ask me why - just that I got to thinking about the bird nest necklace you made and hoping all is well for you. Man! Leroy is six already? Time sure has a way of slipping by! He is just precious - even without a front tooth.
ReplyDeletehugs to you and yours,
becky

ReplyDeleteHi Natasha,
ReplyDeleteYour new painting is beautiful. And I love the peak at your revamp it project. I love the green and pink flower. You have been busy. I have been reorganizing my craft room today and realizing I have way to much stuff for such a small room. We are also getting ready for our trip to Georgia to see my Son Matthew graduate from Army basic training. I haven't seen him in over 3 months, he better be prepared to be hugged tightly : )
Hugs,
Kathy
You have been busy! I hope I'm not responsible for your sudden realisation Christmas is round the corner!!
ReplyDeleteI'm late on the Twilight fad, I've seen the film and have the book in a pile to read but still haven't got round to it yet!
Victoria xx
