Birthday Fun!

We can't turn back the clock, as much as many of us would love to. So, why not celebrate instead?

My birthday this year fell on the date, 09-09-09. How cool is that?

It also fell on Cupcake Day for the RSPCA at our school - the prep kids' parents were asked to bake a dozen cupcakes for the little kids to sell to the rest of the school - and they sold over 600 cupcakes at 50 cents each and made over $300 for the animals. Here's the dozen I baked, couldn't just keep it simple, could I?!!!

So I'll show you a few goodies I received on the day - that I think you will think are super cool. Like this fabulous pen. Isn't it the most fabulous fantastic pen??!!!

And this gorgeous Metallicus dress.... oh how I love Metallicus... You can see it on the model here, just gorgeous!

Now, a while back when I posted my sock monkey, a lovely lady called Deborah W (who doesn't yet have a blog but whose daughters are promising to set one up for her!), emailed me to say she'd like to send me a pair of original Red Heel brand socks!!! How absolutely generous and awesome is that?

But you see, this package arrived on my birthday, and she didn't just send socks.... I was blown away by the incredible stuff she sent me, oh my gosh!!!

See what I mean? How amazingly generous Deborah is!

You know I'm loving those green pearly buttons don't you? I just want to eat them!!

And these old pearls are the heavy real glass kinds. O. M. G.

Thank you so much Deborah for your sweet and generous gift! I will be making a real sock monkey now!

Thanks also to my Facebook friends! Gosh, I've never had so many birthday wishes in my whole life! AND I am such a Facebook slacker, lol!
