For such a long time, I've been seeing adorable felted animals and felted creations around the blog world, and for just as long, I've resisted the urge to try it out...
Each time I'd see a kit or see someone making them on Martha, the urge would come back....
and I'd resist, telling myself that I didn't need to start another obession.. another new set of craft supplies... another sewing basket for other things...
.... until one day, I found myself staring at the wool roving at Spotlight, wondering... if I only bought the small quantity, and only in pink, green and cream...
Anyway - you get it, I'm sure. I know you worked out that I did buy the three colours and that I did start making some felted creatures. I did resist the felting needles and boards etc, and made these using the wet felting technique. (you can find heaps of tutorials on youtube)
I was rolling wet soapy wool, and rolling and rolling and rolling, until it made my hands rough!
And then I didn't roll again!
If I ever make some felted friends again, my hands will thank me if I don't resist buying a felting needle!
My little guy has adopted the white mousy friend.
I'll be listing the happy frog and pink big eared mouse in my shop by this time tomorrow.
Until next time!
Natasha xo

Too cute! The only project I've ever done was felting my beloved dog's fur into a heart but I've been wanting to felt some little birds & rabbits. One of my bloggy friends said that buying the roving locally from a breeder is MUCH cheaper. You may want to look into it.
ReplyDeleteNatasha these are just too sweet. As everything you do...they are perfectly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI do love your new banner so.
