sixty

She turned sixty yesterday ~ can you believe it?  Isn't she beautiful?!

{Hoping I get those great skin genes when I'm that age!}

That was my mum in the first pic.  Some of her friends and I went to High Tea at the Langham Hotel in the city yesterday to celebrate her birthday.

It's such a beautiful hotel.  The foyer is gorgeous.
{this was once called the Sheraton Towers}

I walked around taking photos most of the afternoon.  So much was photo-worthy!

High Tea included a chocolate bar....

yes....

a chocolate bar...

Lemon, Lime & Bitters curd tart... I dreamed of it last night!

Everything was as delicious as it looks!

The traditional silver stand with scones {soft and to die for} with {fat free... ummm no...} cream, cherry jam, and sandwich fingers.

Chocolate Soufflé freshly made.... oh my....

It was a wonderful afternoon.  A day where Mum could be waited on, for a change.   She is always so busy, active and moving!  I guess, that's what keeps her so young!

I bet you don't believe she's old enough to be my mother!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Mum!

    Wow, she looks wonderful for her age and not old enough to be your Mum!
    Looks like you all had a great time at the High tea and I know how much you'd have enjoyed the food.

  8. Oh what a lovely way for ladies to celebrate. I think we should have high tea every weekend (and I would if it wasn't for the calories.

    Happy birthday to your mum - who doesn't look 60. I hope she is still telling everyone she is '50 something'.
    Hugs ~ Kerryanne

  10. Natasha don't need to say I hope your Mum had a great day because you can tell by the photos that it was a wonderful place to be. Being there with you and her friends must have been so special.
    Happy 60th Birthday to your Mum.
    Didn't you get into trouble taking all those photos. Some 'places' really don't like it at all. Oh wow all that yummy food. Those chandeliers are sensational.
    Did you buy some of the 'spray'???

  11. You look so much like your mum! What a beautiful place to spend the day. I know you have your seasons opposite ours, but it is still strange to see you in boots and coats when it's 100 degrees F here!
